DOHA: Pakistan International School hosted a prolific session on ‘Essential Skills for the Workforce of Tomorrow' for intermediate students of senior girls' wing on November 14.
The School has always been at the forefront to provide its students with a firsthand knowledge about a host of careers they can take up after completing their studies, said a release.
Career counseling plays a pivotal role for the students in shaping their future endeavors and discovering their potential in today's challenging economy. It has assumed a great value and importance for our youth because career options are in plenty, the competition is huge and students are confused and uncertain.
The resource person Ailia Rizvi, is an educationist and a British Council Charles Wallace Scholar from Pakistan. Rizvi is working currently at The Next Generation School in Doha as the Vice Principal of O and A level Campus. She is expert in professional development, conducting research on introducing educational interventions to help and support more personalized learning experiences.
Addressing the audience, the guest speaker talked about the character building and students' personality grooming keeping in view the present day challenges. She laid emphasis on the relevant essential skills for the workforce of tomorrow. She conversed that the critical thinking, creativity, problem solving, emotional intelligence are key skills to achieve success in life and to be a useful individual in the society.
Students showed great interest and were motivated by the lecture and well-liked the way of delivery of the speaker. Principal Nargis Raza Otho extended her heartfelt gratitude to Ailia Rizvi for conducting such a riveted session for the resilient future of the student.
