CDA Deputy Director from South Waziristan goes missing in Islamabad


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) PESHAWAR: Another government officer hailing from South Waziristan tribal district went missing from Islamabad on Thursday night.

Ayaz Khan Mehsud, who is a Deputy Director in the Capital Development Authority (CDA), went to the CDA office situated near the Melody Market, but did not return. He had telephoned his family members that he will arrive home a bit late, but since then he is untraceable.

Police have filed a case on the complaint of the family of the missing officer and initiated search for him. There are reports that the cameras of the Safe City Project in the area are not functioning properly.

The deputy director of the CDA has gone missing two days after the body of SP Tahir Dawar was recovered from Afghanistan after his kidnapping from Islamabad on 26 October.
