Oman- Italian carrier to connect Salalah, Milan, Verona with a weekly service

(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- The charter flights from Italy will now function as a regular weekly service by Italian carrier Neos between Salalah and the cities of Milan and Verona.

The Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) issued a statement on Wednesday that an agreement has been made, 'to change the operation of Italian carrier Neos to Salalah International Airport. The service will now become a regular weekly flight as of November 9, 2018 instead of tourist charter flights, allowing the carrier to sell tickets on trips between Salalah and the cities of Milan and Verona'.

Italian charters have been visiting Salalah from December 2014 when AliptourWorld, the tour operator responsible for the Italian charter operation to Salalah, started the service on December 23, 2014.

The first charter flight of Nordwind Airlines from Russia arrived in Salalah on Monday kickstarting the winter season in Dhofar.

Just last month, Russian Nordwind Airlines began operating its charter flights from Moscow to Salalah bringing in tourists for the winter tourism season in Dhofar.

According to the Ministry of Tourism, the Russian charter service is expected to bring around 5,400 tourists to Dhofar. This is in addition to thousands of other European tourists who will fly to Salalah on special charter flights from Slovakia, Czech Republic, Poland and Italy.
