Afghanistan: 15 policemen die in Taliban attack


(MENAFN) Over 15 Afghan border police officers have died in a Taliban ambush on small outpost in northern Kunduz province.

Provincial council member Sayed Assadullah Sadat confirmed that more than 13 more were injured in Thursday's attack in Qalah-e Zal district, close to the border with Tajikistan.

He added that a section in the base was set on fire and the militants stole all the equipment they could take.

Meanwhile, provincial council member Aminullah Ayuddin announced that more than 16 have been pronounced dead. €ƒ
