Two dead, one injured aboard Indian oil tanker off Omani coast


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Two persons died and one was injured after an Indian oil tanker caught fire in the Sea of Omanon Tuesday.

The Royal Air Force of Oman in cooperation with the Royal Navy of Oman airlifted the bodies of the dead to port Sultan Qaboos and transferred the injured to the Khoula Hospital.

The evacuation exercise comes within the framework of the humanitarian role played by the Sultan's armed forces along with citizens, residents and other government agencies.

Theexplosion occurred in one of the tanker's cargoes.The cause of the explosion is yet to be ascertained.
