Argentine court convicts preacher of child assault

(MENAFN) An Argentine court has handed a Catholic preacher 25 years sentence in jail for sexually assaulting seven seminary students, whom ages range between 10 to 14 at the time.

Judge Alicia Vivian declared the ruling by a panel of judges.

Justo Jose Ilarraz assaulted the boys in the 1980s and 90s, when he was known as discipline and spiritual guide at a seminary in Parana, capital of Entre Rios province.

Ilarraz has been acquitted as his attorneys disputed over the statute of limitations had finished in any case.
