(MENAFN) United Airlines has declared its short-term decision for pets' transportation service to be cancelled of its aircraft.
The transport of pets in cargo holds of the aircraft was said to have caused several recent accidents, leading the airline to decide on the temporary suspension.
The airline stated during a press release "we are deeply committed to the safety and comfort of the animals and pets in our care."
It declared "we are conducting a thorough and systematic review of our program for pets that travel in the cargo compartment to make improvements that will ensure the best possible experience for our customers and their pets."
