Kuwait- Jordan reshuffles cabinet


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) AMMAN, Feb 25 (KUNA) -- Jordanian Prime Minister Hani Mulki on Sunday conducted a reshuffle of his government affecting six portfolios and naming two deputy premiers, the official news agency, Petra, said.

Petra said according to the reshuffle, blessed by King Abdullah II, Jamal Sarayrah and Jaafar Hassan were appointed deputy prime ministers.

Sameer Al-Mubaideen was named minister of interior, Samir Murad as minister of justice, Naif Al-Humaidi as minister of environment, Abdulnasser Abulbasal as minister of Awqaf, Ahmad al-Owaidi as minister of state for legal affairs and Basheer Al-Rawashdeh would serve as minister of youth.

The reshuffle of Mulki's government was the first since its forming in May 2015.

Mulki is the 12th premier during era of King Abdullah II. He had managed Al-Aqaba economic zone and occupied a number of political and diplomatic posts. (end) ab.rk
