(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Riyadh, May 09 (QNA) - GCC Secretay-General Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani met here on today with Spain's Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs Ildefonso Castro.
During the meeting, they discussed the relations between the GCC and Spain and means to promote them in different fields in addition to the latest regional and international developments and issues of common concern.
Separately, Al Zayani met with the Palestinian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Abdullah Al Agha.Al Zayani, during the meting, voiced GCC countries' support for the struggle of the Palestinian people to achieve their legitimate right to establish their national state with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with the relevant international legitimacy resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.
He also expressed the GCC countries' solidarity with the Palestinian prisoners on hunger strike in the prisons of the Israeli occupation, calling on the international community to intervene for saving their lives.
Talks during the meeting also dealt with the GCC-Palestine cooperation in different areas in addition to the developments on the occupied Palestinian territories in light of the violations and illegal practices carried out by the Israeli occupation authorities. (QNA)
