UAE- Arab Architects wins big at Arabian Property Awards

(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Receives a '5 star' award for Waterbay and a 'Highly Commended' award for Layan

Arab Architects was honoured at the International Arabian Property Awards at the JW Marriott Marquis Hotel in Dubai recently for their projects Layan and Waterbay.

Arab Architects competed against the best architectural design professionals across Africa and the Middle East to be recognised in the mixed-use architecture category. Receiving a '5 star' award for Waterbay and a 'Highly Commended' award for Layan, they have been named among the most innovative, exceptional, and ambitious projects of 2016, representing Bahrain on an international stage in Dubai.

The objective of the 2016-2017 International Arabian Property Awards was to recognise excellence in the property industry worldwide and to promote an international standard. The prestigious awards, now in their 25th year, are judged by an independent panel of over 70 industry experts who focus on design, quality, service, innovation, originality and commitment to sustainability. Lord Caithnesss, Lord Best, Lord Liverpool and Lord Thurso, all members of the House of Lords in the UK Parliament, chaired this year's judging panel. The ceremony was also accompanied by IPAX Africa & Arabia, a complete platform for business professionals in the property industry to meet, network, learn and connect with each other.

Arab Architects, a Bahraini-born company, was thrilled to be recognised for their work at such a honourable international stage. The architectural and engineering consultancy company is known in Bahrain for its quality performance and timely completion of work. Since its launch, Arab Architects has successfully completed sizeable projects of 250 million Bahraini dinars and continue to plan and design astounding structures for their clientele. Among their most noteworthy projects are the mixed-use developments, Layan and Waterbay. The Layan project is located in Durrat Marina and is a mixed-use project offering luxurious apartments, villas with a private waterpark and multiple shops and restaurants. Waterbay is another wonder situated in the prime location of Bahrain Bay facing the Four Seasons Hotel. The design concept was to create a homely yet high-end luxury accommodation that is synonymous with comfort and draws similarity to a superior hotel lifestyle experience. These projects steal the already competitive spotlight in the massive Arab Architects portfolio.

"It is so humbling to see our work recognised as an architectural masterpiece as a reflection of not only our hard work and unwavering dedication, but also as a testament to Bahrain's growing investment and development as a key player in the real estate market," said Mazen Mohamed Araiqat, founder and managing director of Arab Architects. "Since the firm's inception in 2005, we have worked day in and day out to create a holistic end-to-end architectural and engineering consultancy firm with a team of the highest calibre. This award is only just the beginning of our journey to work with our clients and provide marvelous architectural designs that are on par with the world's leaders. We would like to convey our special thanks to Bin Faqeeh Real Estate Investment Company and Faisal Faqeeh, chairman of Bin Faqeeh for his unwavering support and belief in Arab Architects."

Mohamed Mazen Araiqat, the operations manager of Arab Architects, saw this win as a source of motivation to continue to create competitive works of art. "At Arab Architects, we don't just design, we create art through innovation. Everyone on our team has been handpicked because they are skilled professionals whom we believe are true leaders in architectural design."
