UAE- Terrorists with nukes spell unimaginable disaster paper

ABU DHABI 3rd April 2016 (WAM) -- A UAE newspaper has opined that terrorists with bombs are a major danger but terrorists with nuclear weapons spell a major catastrophe.
Commenting on the Nuclear Security Summit being held in Washington the Gulf Today said "Threat of nuclear terrorism has to be nipped in the bud. One can imagine the consequences on the people were a nuclear terrorist attack to take place anywhere on the planet."
"Though it was declared at the summit on Friday that there was headway in safeguarding nuclear material sought by terrorists and wayward nations Obama admitted the task was far from over" Sharjah-based daily said in an editorial.
Al Qaeda has sought nuclear material and extremists linked to the Brussels and Paris attacks were found to have spied on a top Belgian nuclear official. Leaders tackled the idea that the next huge attack could involve an attack with a nuclear weapon or dirty bomb.
Obama said as the Daesh group got squeezed in Iraq and Syria it would "lash out" elsewhere in the world. Daesh has become the world's most active extremist group.
The US is already seeing Daesh spread its tentacles beyond Iraq and Syria if recent attacks in Belgium and Turkey are any indication.
"There is no doubt that if these madmen ever got their hands on a nuclear bomb or nuclear material they most certainly would use it to kill as many innocent people as possible" Obama said.
