Kuwait- All vaccines for Hajj pilgrims available at health centers - ministry


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) All vaccines prepared for pilgrims are available at the medical centers affiliated to the Ministry of Health, Dr. Mubarak al-Ajami, head of the medical team of Kuwaiti Hajj mission, said on Wednesday.

In a meeting on providing medical advice to people before Hajj, al-Ajami recommended people, who will perform Hajj this year, to take required vaccines in order to avoid being infected during their pilgrimage.

"The Ministry of Health recommends people to take vaccines for meningitis, pneumonia and seasonal flu," he added.

He advised people who are suffering from chronic ailments of the heart, respiratory and kidneys and diabetes as well as pregnant women to delay Hajj in concern of their safety.

He pointed out that the medical team including nurses, pharmacists and supervisors will travel to Saudi Arabia on September 18 and doctors on September 23.

There would be three clinics in Al-Nassem, Mina and Arafa, he stressed.

The medical team was instructed about required steps made for pilgrims at trHajj, and most important vaccines..
