Huge march in Brussels calls for end to Gaza blockade

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) An estimated 10,000 people marched in the streets of the centre of Brussels Sunday afternoon demanding the end of the Israeli blockade on Gaza.

"Free Palestine, End blockade of Gaza, Boycott Israel" shouted the marchers who held placards calling for the release of all Palestinian prisoners held in Israeli jails.

A leaflet distributed by the Palestinian-Belgian Association asked "how can the EU and Belgium tolerate and not react that a population of 1.8 million in Gaza are being bombarded and killed?" The march was organised by a large number of Belgian peace and human rights and labour organisations.

This was the second big demonstration in Brussels to protest Israeli atrocities against the Palestinians in less than a month. Another big march was organised by the same organisations on 27 July.
