(MENAFNEditorial) With more than 50000 breast cancer diagnoses each year it is very important to spread awareness for breast cancer to all sectors of our society. As part of its 'Summer for Change' initiative, Eton Institute has dedicated the month of August to raise awareness for breast cancer and is organizing free breast cancer awareness workshops, FOR LADIES ONLY, in partnership with the Friends of Cancer Patients.
Friends of Cancer Patients Society (FOCP) is a charitable, volunteer-based foundation operating under the umbrella of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah, UAE. FOCP has created and executed multiple awareness cancer campaigns that targeted different social classes across the UAE.
The workshops are designed to empower ladies with the necessary knowledge required related to breast cancer, to help them make a positive contribution to their health and wellbeing. The workshops will be conducted by a trained physician and will include topics such as signs and symptoms to look and feel for, factors that increase the risk of breast cancer, breast cancer screening and treatment.
"If the detection of breast cancer is done at an early stage, it leads to less invasive and more effective treatment. After our workshops, participants should have a better knowledge about the breast changes and screenings to encourage and enable them to be proactive about their breast health" commented Hana Fuchs, Director of Marketing at Eton Institute.
