Voter awareness drive in Gujarat through milk pouches


(MENAFN-Khaleej Times) the amul gold milk pouches being sold by the surat district co-operative milk producers union limited (sumul) in the diamond city will henceforth carry a message exhorting residents every morning to become a part of the democratic process and exercise their franchise in the lok sabha polls

The dairy has decided to support the voter awareness campaign started by the election commission of india on a big scale.


Every day, the dairy sells more than 800,000 amul gold milk pouches in surat in south gujarat.


A gujarat bharatiya janata party lawmaker who is on a sumul committee told khaleej times each and every consumer of amul gold should read the one-line message printed on the milk pouches and make his or her valuable contribution to the biggest democratic process of the country.


Indeed, the distributors and retailers of amul gold milk will be given special instructions to inform the customers to read the message before disposing of the empty milk pouches.


The sumul campaign will continue till april 30 when polling for lok sabha elections will be held.
