(MENAFN) Jazeera Airways stated that the new Airbus A320 plane it will receive at the start of June will raise the total number of the model in its fleet to 13, reported Arabian Business. Since 2005, the Kiwait-based carrier has received 12 Airbus A320s, which are part of an order of 15 A320s, while delivery of the remaining 2 planes will take place in this year's fourth quarter and in 2014. The airline, which more than tripled its first-quarter net profit to USD12.54 million, flies to 19 destinations in the Middle East. It is worth noting that there are more than 5,500 A320 planes in operation by carriers worldwide.
