Qatar, Paraguay sign deal on promotion and protection of investments

Doha: Minister of Economy and Commerce H E sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani met yesterday with the Minister of industry and Trade of the Republic of Paraguay, Gustavo Leite and his accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, the two sides signed an agreement on mutual Promotion and protection of investments between the two countries.

The agreement was signed by the Minister of Economy and Commerce and the Minister of Industry and Trade of Paraguay.

The two sides also reviewed the bilateral relations and aspects of cooperation, mainly in the fields of economy, trade and investment, and ways of developing them.

The agreement aims to create a good investment climate between the two countries and to promote and protect those investments.

The State of Qatar and the Republic of Paraguay signed a number of economic and trade agreements such as the economic, commercial and technical cooperation agreement, signed in 2010.

The volume of trade exchange between the two countries reached nearly QR 5.92m in 2017.
