1 police killed, 6 wounded in Farah attack


(MENAFN- Pajhwok Afghan News) FARAH CITY (Pajhwok): One policeman has been killed and six others wounded in a clash in the Bala Bolok district of western Farah province, an official said on Sunday.

Deputy police chief Gen. Abdul Raziq Sherzad told Pajhwok Afghan News the militants stormed a security check-post in Farahrod area late on Saturday night.

He said one policeman was killed and six other wounded. The injured had been evacuated to the hospital and some were in critical condition.

Taliban insurgents were also suffered casualties, he said, adding without going into details.

There has been so far no word from Taliban in this regard.
