Profile Articles Activity

I am lecturer & senior researcher in evidence-based healthcare at the University of Oxford, based in the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences.

I specialise in using a set of methods called 'evidence synthesis', where I try to combine primary research on important questions in such a way that we get something greater than the sum of its parts. I do a lot of research into the best ways to help people quit smoking, and I also like to spend time thinking about what the best evidence is in healthcare, and how we can best get the answers to important clinical and policy questions.

Experience
  • 2022–present Senior Researcher, University of Oxford
  • 2017–present Managing Editor/Information Specialist, Cochrane Tobacco Addiction Group
  • 2017–2022 Research Fellow, University of Oxford
