Exhibition On Life Of Ayodhya Queen Jyotsna Mishra Held; Sonal Mansingh, Sudha Murthy And Hema Malini Attend

(MENAFN- IANS) New Delhi, Dec 12 (IANS) An exhibition was organised in the national capital on Thursday in the memory of Ayodhya's Maharani Jyotsna Mishra. The exhibition, celebrating the rich cultural heritage of the holy city, was attended by many distinguished and illustrious personalities, including Padma Shri awardees, Dr Sonal Mansingh and Sudha Murthy.
BJP MP and bollywood actress Hema Malini was among the other eminent chief guests at the exhibition.
The exhibition titled 'Shubhrajyotsna' showcased a wonderful collection of textiles, jewellery and decorative objects created in her palace workshop under the Shilpmanjari brand, inspired by the vision of Queen Jyotsna Mishra.
Some rare archival pieces from the royal family's collection as well as contemporary works were showcased at the event. Guests were treated to the unique cultural richness of Ayodhya and its legacy of harmonious co-existence, which the Maharani Jyotsna Devi Mishra maintained throughout her life.
Daughter Manjari Mishra and son, poet Yatendra Mishra, welcomed the guests at the exhibition and impressed upon them about Maharani's artistic pursuits and achievements.
Manjari Mishra, daughter of Queen Jyotsna Mishra of Ayodhya, said that the exhibition was organized in memory of her mother. A book was also unveiled on the occasion.
She told newsmen that his mother Jyotsna Mishra was a big fan of Hema Malini.
“It is a matter of good fortune for us that Hema Malini took out time out and reached here to participate in the program,” she said.
“This exhibition is dedicated to my mother's grace and her love for crafts. Because of her, I understood the rich Ganga-Jamuni culture of Ayodhya, where traditions mingle with each other. And every artisan, irrespective of religion, becomes the custodian of our heritage,” she added.
She further stated that the 'Shubhrajyotsna' was not just a celebration of the craft but also of the values that her mother held dear – unity and harmony.
