Foreign Ministry Secretary General Meets IFRC CEO

Amman, Dec. 5 (Petra)-- Ambassador Majid Qatarna, Secretary General of the
Ministry of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs, on Thursday, met with the Chief Executive Officer and Secretary General of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), Jagan Chapagain, in the presence of the President of the Jordan Red Crescent (JRC), Mohammad Mutlaq al-Hadid.
The meeting touched on enhancing cooperation between the Kingdom and the federation.
Qatrana praised the level of cooperation between the Kingdom and the Union, particularly in sending aid to the Gaza Strip, which is experiencing an unprecedented humanitarian disaster, and emphasized the significance of the Union's role in providing various humanitarian aid to those in need during times of disasters, crises, and wars.
Chapagain praised Jordan's role in fostering worldwide adherence to international humanitarian law and praised the Kingdom's efforts, led by His Majesty King Abdullah II, to continue providing humanitarian aid to Gaza through the Jordanian air bridge and land humanitarian corridor.
