PTI Calls Off Islamabad Protest Amid Crackdown And Arrests

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has officially ended its protest in Islamabad. According to the PTI spokesperson, the peaceful demonstration has been suspended for now, and the future course of action will be decided under the guidance of party chairman Imran Khan.
The spokesperson condemned the violence against protesters, alleging that eight party workers were killed after being shot directly.
Over 400 Arrested During Crackdown Islamabad Police conducted a large-scale operation, arresting more than 400 individuals. Raids were carried out near Chungi No. 26 in Rawalpindi, resulting in the seizure of a large quantity of weapons, wireless communication devices, slingshots, and ball bearings. Authorities accused the detainees of attacking police, vandalism, and arson.
Ali Amin Gandapur and Bushra Bibi Escape Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and Bushra Bibi reportedly escaped in a vehicle during the operation. Sources revealed they were near Blue Area when the operation began.

Police intercepted a vehicle belonging to Gandapur's guards but continued to chase Bushra Bibi's car, which reportedly headed toward Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House.
Attock Bridge Sealed to Prevent Escapes Authorities sealed the Attock Bridge connecting Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab to prevent further escapes. Containers were placed to block the route, and heavy police presence was deployed. Security forces also cleared D-Chowk and Jinnah Avenue of PTI protesters, pushing them back beyond Khyber Plaza.
Case Filed Against Imran Khan Over Policeman's Death A case has been registered against Imran Khan and other PTI leaders following the death of police constable Mubashir Hassan near Hakla Interchange. The FIR includes 14 charges under the Anti-Terrorism Act, accusing PTI leadership of inciting violence. The FIR states that the constable was kidnapped, assaulted, and later found injured under Hakla Bridge, where he succumbed to his injuries. Constable Mubashir, a father of three from Muzaffargarh, was killed during the violent clashes.
