Armenia is obligated to investigate the missile attacks on Ganja in 2020 under its membership in the International Criminal Court (ICC), according to Hikmat Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department, Azernews reports.

In a statement on X, Hajiyev emphasized the deliberate nature of the attacks:

“17 Oct 2020/2nd deadliest ballistic missile attack hit Ganja. Killing of civilians by Armenia with ballistic missile attacks wasn't sporadic act or collateral damage but deliberate policy of terror and murder. As ICC member Armenia must investigate these war crimes,” he wrote.

Today marks the fourth anniversary of the fifth rocket attack on Ganja by Armenian forces during the Second Garabagh War, a campaign that resulted in numerous civilian casualties.
