Armenia is obligated to investigate the missile attacks on Ganja
in 2020 under its membership in the International Criminal Court
(ICC), according to Hikmat Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of
Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department,
Azernews reports.
In a statement on X, Hajiyev emphasized the deliberate nature of
the attacks:
“17 Oct 2020/2nd deadliest ballistic missile attack hit
Ganja. Killing of civilians by Armenia with ballistic missile
attacks wasn't sporadic act or collateral damage but deliberate
policy of terror and murder. As ICC member Armenia must investigate
these war crimes,” he wrote.
Today marks the fourth anniversary of the fifth rocket attack on
Ganja by Armenian forces during the Second Garabagh War, a campaign
that resulted in numerous civilian casualties.
