Disinformation Against Azerbaijan Must Be Eradicated In Run-Up To COP29 - Official

BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 11. The spread of
disinformation against Azerbaijan should not be allowed on the eve
of COP29, Head of the sector of the Presidential Administration of
the Republic of Azerbaijan Elmir Velizada said at the conference
“New trends in modern media: information security and criteria of
professionalism," Trend reports.
He noted that during his speech at the first session of the
Azerbaijani Parliament's VII convocation, the head of state also
noted that ensuring information security is currently an important
condition.
“President Ilham Aliyev's speech sets important tasks for
Azerbaijani media. Azerbaijan has the right to vote in solving not
only regional but also global issues. Azerbaijan, which has
undergone serious tests, will also take necessary steps to prevent
the spread of disinformation. We must disclose our position on
further strengthening the capacity of national media and prevention
of disinformation and must not allow the spread of disinformation
against our country, especially on the eve of COP29,” he added.
