Uzbekistan's CEC Adopts Resolution On Early Parliamentary Election Vote


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, October 9. The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Uzbekistan has adopted a resolution on the organization of early voting on October 16-23, 2024, for voters who cannot be at their place of residence on the day of parliamentary elections, Trend reports.

According to information, this became known during the regular meeting of the Central Election Commission of Uzbekistan.

In the days of early voting at polling stations, the voting will be held from 9:00 to 18:00 hours (GMT+5) on weekdays and from 11:00 to 17:00 hours (GMT+5) on weekends. In addition, it is determined that early voting at polling stations established at diplomatic and other representative offices of Uzbekistan in foreign countries will be held from 9:00 to 18:00 local time in the country where these polling stations are located.

To note, the elections of deputies to regional, city, and district councils, as well as members of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis (Parliament) of Uzbekistan, are scheduled for October 27.

The Movement of Entrepreneurs and Business People, the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, the Democratic Party of National Revival, the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan, the People's Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, and the Adolat Social Democratic Party of Uzbekistan will take part in the elections.
