Azerbaijan Successfully Repatriates Its Citizens From Syria And Iraq - MFA

BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 7. Six Azerbaijani
nationals were repatriated from the Syrian Arab Republic to their
home on September 18 as part of a planned and coordinated effort by
the Azerbaijani government, followed by the repatriation of 2
citizens from the Republic of Iraq on October 7, Trend reports via
Azerbaijan's MFA.
According to the ministry, the initial step involved identifying
the location, identity, and citizenship status of the
repatriates.
The MFA noted that representatives from relevant state
structures responsible for the repatriation of Azerbaijani citizens
were dispatched to Türkiye and Iraq. They ensured that primary
medical and psychological examinations were conducted for the
repatriates.
"The Azerbaijani diplomatic missions in these countries carried
out the necessary coordination work, and our citizens were provided
with certificates for their return to the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Accompanied by a delegation, the repatriation of these citizens to
our country was successfully executed. Measures for the social
rehabilitation and reintegration of the repatriates into society
are also planned.
The government of the Republic of Azerbaijan will continue to
take necessary actions for the repatriation of Azerbaijani citizens
who have become victims of armed conflicts abroad," the statement
said.
