World Bank Presents New Financial Instruments And Guarantees To Kazakhstan

ASTANA, Kazakhstan, October 1. The World Bank
presented new financial instruments and guarantees to Kazakhstan,
Trend reports.
This was revealed during a meeting between Kazakhstan's Deputy
Prime Minister, Minister of National Economy Nurlan Baibazarov, and
the Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer of the World Bank
Group, Anshula Kant.
During the meeting, the parties discussed Kazakhstan's strategic
plans for economic development and investment attraction, exchanged
views on mutual cooperation, and discussed the implementation of
joint projects in the fields of transport, energy, and digital
development, as well as the implementation of social projects.
The deputy prime minister noted the positive dynamics of
mutually beneficial cooperation with the World Bank and expressed
confidence that the Bank's partnership with the country will
continue.
Anshula Kant emphasized that the World Bank's involvement in
Kazakhstan will be expanded within the framework of the upcoming
Partnership Strategy for 2026-2030, which will define key strategic
priorities.
Meanwhile, Kazakhstan and the World Bank will adopt a new
partnership strategy for 2025-2030.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the new partnership
framework strategy for 2025-2030 is currently undergoing approval
procedures. The strategy will define the key areas of the WB
activities in Kazakhstan, such as supporting public sector reforms,
macroeconomic and fiscal sustainability, the financial sector, the
transformation of agriculture, and digital development.
