Uzbekistan's New Resident Airlines To Start Flights To South Korea


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, October 1. Uzbekistan's Qanot Sharq, My Freighter, Air Samarkand (new resident airlines) along with Uzbekistan Airways will conduct flights between Uzbekistan and South Korea, Trend reports.

The news followed a meeting between a delegation of Kazakhstan's Ministry of transport accompanied by representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Korea with the Korean Aviation Administration in Seoul.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the issues of developing cooperation between the aviation authorities of Uzbekistan and Korea, lifting the restriction on the number of designated airlines, granting them appropriate rights to fly, increasing the number of flights between the two countries, expanding the geography and discussing flights.

The last consultations between the aviation governments of the two countries took place in 2018, according to which the number of flights between the two countries was set at 10 per week for the airlines of each side, and 2 airlines from each side were granted the right to operate flights.
