TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, October 1. Uzbekistan's
Qanot Sharq, My Freighter, Air Samarkand (new resident airlines)
along with Uzbekistan Airways will conduct flights between
Uzbekistan and South Korea, Trend reports.
The news followed a meeting between a delegation of Kazakhstan's
Ministry of transport accompanied by representatives of the Embassy
of Uzbekistan in Korea with the Korean Aviation Administration in
Seoul.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the issues of developing
cooperation between the aviation authorities of Uzbekistan and
Korea, lifting the restriction on the number of designated
airlines, granting them appropriate rights to fly, increasing the
number of flights between the two countries, expanding the
geography and discussing flights.
The last consultations between the aviation governments of the
two countries took place in 2018, according to which the number of
flights between the two countries was set at 10 per week for the
airlines of each side, and 2 airlines from each side were granted
the right to operate flights.
