Prosecutor Generals Of Multiple Countries To Convene At Conference In Azerbaijan's Baku - Official

BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 25. Prosecutors
General of more than 30 countries will gather at the conference of
the International Association of Prosecutors to be held in Baku,
the Deputy Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan Heydar Mammadov said in
an interview with local media, Trend reports.
Heydar Mammadov noted that the annual conference and general
meeting of the International Association of Prosecutors, the first
and only global organization of the world's prosecutors, which has
more than 350,000 members in 177 countries of the world, is held
every September in cities of different leading countries of the
world.
Stressing that holding the 29th Annual Conference and General
Meeting of the organization from September 28 through October 2 in
Baku is of exceptional historical significance for Azerbaijan, the
Deputy Prosecutor General noted that more than 465 participants
from 95 countries, including prosecutors general and other
high-ranking officials, and more than 40 accompanying family
members were registered.
Noting this prestigious event to be held in Azerbaijan is an
international coordination platform, Heydar Mammadov emphasized
that prosecutors general of more than 30 states, heads of various
structures of the judicial-legal system of more than 20 states, and
authoritative international organizations will also take part in
the conference.
Mentioning that under the leadership of Azerbaijan's Prosecutor
General Kamran Aliyev, the Prosecutor's Office actively
participates in numerous global and regional initiatives, and
comprehensive work is carried out to strengthen international
relations, Heydar Mammadov added that the Prosecutor's Office will
organize a high-level plenary session entitled“Mobilization of law
enforcement agencies for more active actions to combat climate
change” during the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to
the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29).
