Azerbaijani Artists Exhibit Their Works In Germany (PHOTO)


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 19. An exhibition of works by local and foreign artists, organized by the Zarifa Art agency (center), has opened in Cologne, the State Committee on Work with the Diaspora of Azerbaijan told Trend .

The opening ceremony included the Chairman of the State Committee Fuad Muradov, the Chairperson of the Cologne Municipality Cornelia Weitkamp, and other guests.

In his welcoming speech, the head of the Zarifa Art center, Ildirim Sultanov, spoke about the center's activities and the exhibition, emphasizing its strong connections with Azerbaijani artists and its role in organizing their exhibitions.

Sultanov noted that for many years, exhibitions of the works of prominent Azerbaijani artists such as People's Artist Ashraf Heybatov, architect and artist Shahvalad Mammadov, artists Margarita Karimova, Sabir Chopurov, and many others have been held in Germany.

Weitkamp praised the exhibition and expressed her gratitude to the Zarifa Art agency.

The event featured music of various genres, including the Azerbaijani "Sari Gelin" folk song, performed by violinist Anna Gold, which was warmly received by the participants.

Zarifa Art agency, led by Ildirim Sultanov, who has lived in Germany for almost 30 years, was founded in 1996. Initially starting with seven artists, the center now includes over 100 professional artists, more than 200 amateur artists, as well as sculptors, architects, and other renowned figures in the arts. The center organizes exhibitions in many cities in Germany and other European countries.
