Sughd FEZ In Tajikistan To Develop World Bank-Funded Logistics Center

DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, September 16. The Sughd
free economic zone (FEZ) in Tajikistan is developing plans for a
major logistics center funded by the World bank (WB), Muhammadzod
Muhammad Sulton, head of the FEZ administration said, Trend reports.
He shared the information during a meeting with representatives
from Pakistan's Pyramid Logistics (Pvt) LTD.
He also noted that discussions are underway with Russian
companies regarding the establishment of a meat processing and
canning plant. Should this project proceed, Pyramid Logistics will
be considered for sourcing and acquiring necessary equipment, raw
materials, and partners.
The parties discussed potential strategies for transporting
products from Sughd FEZ to neighboring and distant countries, as
well as sourcing and delivering required raw materials and
production equipment from abroad.
Fazal Khan Marwat, regional manager at Pyramid Logistics,
expressed gratitude for the meeting and constructive dialogue. He
indicated that the company will use information about Sughd FEZ to
present its benefits to investment groups associated with his
company, aiming to foster long-term, mutually beneficial
partnerships.
Pyramid Logistics, founded in 2003, aims to offer logistics and
shipping services across Pakistan, Afghanistan, Tajikistan,
Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan.
