Turkmen, Iraqi Fms Brainstorm Strengthening Bilateral Relations


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, September 16. The foreign ministers of Turkmenistan and Iraq emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral relations and continuing cooperation on the international stage, Trend reports via the Turkmen Foreign Ministry.

Turkmenistan's Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov held a phone conversation with Iraqi counterpart Fuad Hussein.

According to the ministry, the parties discussed the current state of cooperation between the two countries in the political, diplomatic, trade, economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres, with a special accent on the exchange of high-level visits and the expansion of collaboration within international organizations.

Additionally, the ministers stressed the importance of further developing bilateral cooperation and maintaining contact on pressing regional and international issues.
