Uzbekistan Endorses Agreement On Int'l Road Transportation Of Passengers, Cargo With Estonia


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, September 10. The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed an agreement on international road transportation of passengers and cargo with Estonia, Trend reports.

According to information, this is stated in the decree of the President of Uzbekistan,“On approval of the international agreement”.

Under the document, the Ministry of transport of Uzbekistan was appointed as the competent body responsible for the implementation of this international treaty.

The Cabinet of Ministers and heads of relevant ministries and departments after the entry into force of the international treaty in the prescribed manner will monitor the implementation of its provisions.

To note, the agreement between Uzbekistan and Estonia was signed on January 29, 2024, in the framework of the investment forum "Europe - Central Asia: transport interconnectivity" in Brussels.

The implementation of the agreement will make it possible to develop and expand the geography of road transportation, diversify routes, and carry out all types of international road transportation by national carriers of the two states.
