EU Working Intensively On Climate Transparency Reports - Hungary Ambassador To Azerbaijan


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 3. EU countries are working intensively to prepare their biennial climate transparency reports (BTRs), Hungarian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Tamas Torma said during the High-Level Dialogue on Climate Transparency held today in Baku, Trend reports.

The ambassador drove home the point that transparency in climate action is the name of the game, a key component of global climate planning.

He expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan for going the extra mile to address the issue of transparency ahead of COP29.

The ambassador mentioned that Biennial Transparency Reports (BTR) allow for timely responses and adjustments to climate policy based on current realities.

Regarding the potential to discuss this matter with other parties, he also mentioned that EU countries are working hard to prepare their BTRs within the specified dates.

"In this regard, I would like to once again thank Azerbaijan's presidency for organizing this important dialogue," added Torma.
