Climate Action Needs Transparent Efforts - Kyrgyz Deputy Minister

(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 3. Climate change is a threat to all humanity, and the climate action needs transparent efforts, Deputy Minister of National Resources and Environment of Kyrgyzstan Asel Raimkulova said during the High-Level Dialogue on Climate Transparency held today in Baku, Trend reports.

Without biannual national transparency reports (BTRs), she argued, it would be impossible to emphasize the necessity of solving climate challenges.

“We are working on the BTRs, which is necessary for the implementation of Article 13 of the Paris Climate Agreement. Kyrgyzstan will try to submit the BTRs in a timely manner, before the end of the year. Such reports play a decisive role in achieving climate goals,” the official noted.
