Tajikistan Reveals Volume Of Imported Cars


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, August 25. Tajikistan imported more than 22,000 cars from January through July 2024, Trend reports.

According to Tajikistan's Ministry of Transport, this figure indicates a 58 percent decline compared to the same period last year.

Furthermore, Tajikistan imported a total of 9,104 electric vehicles by July 1, 2024.

The imported vehicles include 8,187 electric cars, 20 electric buses and minibuses, 32 electric trucks, and 865 special electric equipment

Currently, there are 210 transport companies operating in Tajikistan, including 70 passenger transport firms, 64 freight companies, and 76 combined (freight and passenger) firms. The country also has 41 passenger terminals, 6 freight terminals, 71 parking lots, and 1,947 maintenance and repair points.

Out of a total of 54,573 vehicles used in the economy, there are 7,875 passenger cars, 21,930 freight vehicles, and 24,768 light commercial vehicles.
