Air Astana To Launch Flight From Kazakhstan To Vietnam

ASTANA, Kazakhstan, August 15. Kazakhstan's Air
Astana will launch a direct flight on the route Almaty – Phu Quoc –
Almaty, Trend
reports.
Direct flights to Phu Quoc will be operated by an A321LR
aircraft. Flights will begin on October 28, 2024, twice a week - on
Mondays and Wednesdays, with a subsequent increase in frequencies
to four times a week from December.
"The new destinations are part of the airline's ongoing efforts
to expand its route Network and meet customer needs. We are
confident that this new destination will become popular among our
passengers," said Yerbolat Baisalykov, senior vice president for
revenue management and commercial planning of Air Astana.
In 2023, Kazakhstan and Vietnam signed an agreement on mutual
exemption from visa requirements for citizens.
This intergovernmental agreement will allow citizens of
Kazakhstan and Vietnam to stay on the territory of the other
country without a visa for 30 days from the moment of crossing the
border and up to 90 days within three months.
Meanwhile, the total number of passengers carried by Air Astana
reached 4 million, with a constant average load factor of 82
percent from January through June 2024.
Thus, compared to the same period in 2023, the number of
passengers carried increased by 14.6 percent, and the average load
factor decreased by 0.7 percent (in the first half of 2023: 82.7
percent).
