Spate Of Attacks In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 3 Dead, 40 Injured In Fresh Violence


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) Violence continues to escalate in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with multiple attacks targeting the KP Police and other law enforcement agencies, as well as various incidents of gunfire resulting in casualties.

Sources report that late last night, intense gunfire exchanges occurred at three locations in the Kurram District, leading to the deaths of two individuals and injuries to 37 others.

In another incident, a Frontier Corps checkpoint in Orakzai District was attacked by militants, resulting in the death of soldier Ayub.

Similarly, in Swat District, unknown assailants fired on a polio vaccination team and their police escorts. Police reported that the gunfire, originating from a hillside near the Depo checkpoint, injured two police officers and one polio worker.

It's worth noting that Swat has an ongoing polio eradication campaign, especially due to the influx of tourists to the region.
