Airport International Group, Stakeholders Sign Memo On A-CDM Implementation

Amman, July 22 (Petra) -- Airport International Group (AIG) Monday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to implement the Airport Collaborative Decision Making (A-CDM) concept at Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) by 2025.
Under the memo, the concerned parties will commit to fostering eco-friendly, efficient and timely airport operations aligned with international best practices.
A-CDM will facilitate collaborative decision-making across the Jordanian air transport sector, enhancing operational efficiency and resource utilization, according to a statement.
QAIA is poised to become the first airport in the MENA region connected to the European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation (EUROCONTROL) through the A-CDM system, benefiting flights to and from Europe, Canada and the United States.
AIG intends to leverage the expertise of Groupe ADP since airports within its global network are either A-CDM certified or undergoing the certification process.
In anticipation of future traffic growth, the A-CDM project at QAIA will optimise aircraft turnaround times, bolster overall airside efficiency and provide accurate, relevant and real-time operational data to stakeholders.
This will enable better predictability, decision-making, resource allocation and airport infrastructure use. Key benefits include enhanced situational awareness, reduced fuel consumption and CO2 emissions and lower ground handling costs.
AIG CEO, Nicolas Deviller said, "We are excited about the transformative leap the introduction of the A-CDM model at QAIA signifies, reinforcing our position as a regionally pioneering, climate-friendly airport aligned with global aviation standards.

Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC) Chief Commissioner Captain Haitham Misto said, "CARC's Air Navigation Service Provider expects that the implementation of A-CDM will significantly enhance airport operations by improving efficiency, facilitating better coordination among stakeholders, optimising resource utilisation, enabling real-time information sharing and reinforcing compliance and safety standards, ultimately driving operational excellence and elevating the passenger experience.

Misto added, "We look forward to collaborating with Airport International Group to ensure the successful implementation of the A-CDM project. This commitment underscores RJ's dedication to supporting innovative ideas that benefit RJ and the aviation sector."
Royal Jordanian (RJ) Vice Chairman and Board Designee CEO Samer Majali said, "We believe this project will significantly contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of operations at QAIA.
"This initiative aligns with RJ's strategy and KPIs, particularly in expanding our fleet, which will lead to increased passenger traffic through QAIA in the coming years.
