Speaking to the media at the mall, Pranavananda Swamiji said, "Fakirappa, a member of the Kuruba community, has received unfair treatment and defamation. This humiliation of farmers in Bengaluru is unacceptable." All organizations supporting farmers and Kannada culture, as well as Karnataka Swamijis and Mathadhis, have condemned this act.

Pranavananda Swamiji, who is also a member of the same panchayat as Fakirappa, emphasised the need for justice. " We visited Fakirappa's home to console him. GT World Mall must compensate Fakirappa with Rs 1 crore for the defamation. We will initiate a fierce struggle against the mall if this demand remains unmet," he declared.

He further noted, "Fakirappa is a voter in Aremallapur Gram panchayat in Haveri district's Ranibennur taluk. As a member of his Gram panchayat, I am committed to securing justice for him." The incident has brought to light the broader issue of discrimination against farmers and individuals wearing traditional attire in urban settings.

Pranavananda Swamiji called for a collective response to ensure such incidents do not recur. He also urged Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to take action, highlighting that the Chief Minister's position should ensure the protection and dignity of all citizens, including farmers.
Labour Minister Santosh Lad condemned the denial of entry to farmer Fakirappa at GT World Mall, attributing it to a discriminatory mindset. He pointed out the irony, noting that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah often wears traditional attire, and suggested that misguided security guidelines might be to blame.
