Kyrgyzstan Plans To Open Trade House In Uzbekistan


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, July 15. Kyrgyzstan plans to open a trade house in Uzbekistan, Trend reports.

The matter was discussed at a meeting between the Trade Representative of Kyrgyzstan's Ministry of Economy and Commerce in Uzbekistan, Almaz Temirbekov, and Uzbekistan's Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade, Laziz Kudratov.

During the meeting, they discussed issues of Kyrgyz-Uzbek cooperation in trade and the economic sphere.

Both parties also discussed the opening of the trade house of Uzbekistan in Kyrgyzstan, which will also become a significant step to deepen trade and economic relations between the two countries.

The sides also reviewed preparations for the Kyrgyz-Uzbek business forum to be held on July 17, 2024, in Uzbekistan's Tashkent.

Meanwhile, the trade turnover volume between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan reached $294.3 million from January through May 2024. This figure indicates a 42.8 percent decrease compared to the same period last year ($420.4 million in January–May 2023).
