In Reshuffle, DAB Chief Replaces Minister Of Mines

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) has announced the replacement of the Minister of mines and petroleum.
In compliance with the IEA supreme leader's orders, Shahabuddin Delawar has been replaced with Da Afghanistan bank (DAB) Governor Hedayatullah Badri.
IEA's chief spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid wrote on X Delawar had been appointed as the acting head of the Afghan Red Crescent Society (ARCS).
Matiul Haq Khalis, the outgoing ARCS chief, would lead the National Environmental Protection Agency (NEPA), Mujahid said.
According to the IEA spokesman, DAB's Deputy Governor Noor Ahmad Agha has been elevated as governor of the central bank.
As part of the reshuffle, Nooruddin Turabi, former deputy chief of ARCS, has been appointed as National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) chief.
Likewise, ex-deputy minister of industry and commerce Qudratullah Jamal has been appointed as the new deputy minister of information and culture for financial and administrative affairs.
Former director of counter-corruption intelligence agency Ahmadullah Zahid has been made the new deputy minister of commerce and industry.
Aziz-ur-Rahman, former NEPA head, has been appointed as deputy head of ARCS and Saduddin Saeed, ex-deputy minister of information as deputy chief NEPA for financial and administrative affairs.
