PSD Finds Explosives In Abu Alanda Linked To South Marka Case


(MENAFN- Jordan Times) AMMAN - The Public Security Directorate (PSD) announced on Monday that investigations by security agencies into the South Marka's case have led to the discovery of another location.

The PSD said that the same individuals involved in the Marka case had hidden explosives in the Abu Alanda area,
the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The Directorate explained that since the morning, security agencies have surrounded a commercial store that was used to store the explosives.

Explosives experts from the Corps of Royal Engineers and security agencies dealt with the incident. They detonated the explosives on-site after taking all necessary precautions, including evacuating the area, resulting in no reported injuries.

The Directorate confirmed that the detonation operations were completed with the highest levels of professionalism and without any injuries or damage.

The directorate urged everyone to cooperate with the security personnel on-site to avoid the site and allow security forces to continue their work without interference.

The PSD announced on Saturday that security forces are investigating a case involving explosives in the South Marka area.

Preliminary investigations indicate that a group of individuals had stored quantities of explosives inside a house in the South Marka area.
