Russia And Tanzania Sign Air Services Agreement To Boost Air Traffic

(MENAFN- Daily News Egypt) The Russian and Tanzanian governments have signed an air services agreement aimed at increasing air travel between the two countries.
The agreement was signed at the Russian Ministry of transport by Russian Deputy Minister of Transport Vladimir Poteshkin and Tanzanian Ambassador to Russia Fredrick Ibrahim Kibuta, TV BRICS reported .
The agreement includes provisions for the joint application of national laws regarding carriers, cooperation in flight safety, and the regulation of tariffs for designated carriers.
It also outlines principles for the operation of contractual lines and provisions on the collection of airport charges and customs duties on the movement of goods.
The Russian Ministry of Transport said in a statement:“The agreement fixes the principles of operation of contractual lines, provisions on collection of airport charges, customs duties on movement of goods, regulation of tariffs of designated carriers.”
The agreement is expected to facilitate increased air traffic between Russia and Tanzania, opening up new opportunities for tourism and trade.
