
8 People Killed Following Intense Rain-Induced Landslides In Central China
Beijing: The Chinese authorities announced Sunday that eight people were killed following an intense rain-induced landslide that hit a village in Hunan, central China.
The landslide hit four houses in the village of Douxi in the Xinhuang Dong Autonomous County of Huaihua early Sunday, the Xinhua News Agency reported.
Meanwhile, several parts of the country hit by heavy rain and floods on Saturday got another official yellow alert for rainstorms, including Hunan.
