UN Official Lauds Jordan's Diplomacy In Safeguarding Refugee Cause

Cairo, June 20 (Petra) - The media adviser to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), Adnan Abu Hasna, lauded Jordan's leading role with the unlimited support of his majesty King Abdullah II to host Palestinian refugees.
Abu Hasna told,l the Jordan News Agency (Petra), that Jordan is one of the most important countries that provide services to Palestinian refugees, whether at the level of UNRWA as a UN organisation or at the level of Palestinian refugees that hosts them on its land, which number about 2.5 million refugees, which means about 40% of refugees in the region as a whole, and they benefit from the services provided by Jordan such as education, health and relief.
He pointed out that Jordan is considered the largest donor to UNRWA in terms of the services provided to Palestinian refugees, lauding Jordanian diplomacy and its great role in preserving the cause of Palestinian refugees and preserving UNRWA by forming a main line of defense against all attempts aimed at marginalising or liquidating UNRWA or stopping its services,
The UNRWA media adviser said that he felt the great Jordanian keenness during the "Call for Action: Urgent Humanitarian Response for Gaza" conference , recently hosted by Jordan, and defending UNRWA and refugees in all international forums, which has always been evident in His Majesty the King's speeches.
