(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, April 4. A cooperationprogram between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan andTurkmenistan for 2024-2025 has been signed, Trend reports.
According to the press service of the Tajik president, fivedocuments were signed following negotiations between President ofTajikistan Emomali Rahmon and former President of TurkmenistanGurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who currently serves as the Chairman ofthe People's Council of the country.
These documents include:
-An Agreement on Cooperation between the Center for AdvancedTraining and Retraining of Diplomatic Service Employees of theMinistry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan and the Institute ofInternational Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs ofTurkmenistan.
-An Agreement between the executive body of state power ofthe city of Khujand of the Sughd region of Tajikistan and theHokimlik of the city of Arkadag of Turkmenistan on theestablishment of sister city relations.
-An Agreement on Cooperation between the Committee onArchitecture and Construction under the Government of Tajikistanand the Ministry of Construction and Architecture ofTurkmenistan.
-A Memorandum between the Institute of Geology,Seismic-Resistant Construction, and Seismology of the NationalAcademy of Sciences of Tajikistan and the Institute of Seismologyand Atmospheric Physics of the Academy of Sciences ofTurkmenistan.
Berdimuhamedov arrived in Tajikistan for an official visit onApril 4. During the official meetings and negotiations betweenRahmon and Berdimuhamedov, the parties discussed all aspects of thetwo countries' relations and exchanged views on current issues onthe international and regional agenda.
