Iraqi PM Chairs Meeting Of Reconstruction And Investment Cmte

Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani has led the fifth meeting of the High Committee for Reconstruction and Investment, at which several housing projects were approved in various provinces.

During the meeting, authorization was granted to the Ministry of Construction, Housing, and Municipalities to negotiate with the executing company for the Housing Units Complex in Diyala Province. The aim is to finalize contractual obligations and allow the company to complete the project through an investment approach. The negotiation results will be presented to the High Investment Committee for appropriate decision-making.

Additionally, an exception was approved for the Ministry of Industry and Minerals from the advertising requirement for the development of the sulfur production line at Mishraq, which has been out of commission since 2003. The project is for the benefit of the Rafidain Iraq Company for Trade and General Contracting .
