presidential guard of Republic of Niger detains President Mohamed Bazoum


(MENAFN) On July 26, 2023, the leadership protector of the Republic of Niger imprisoned Leader Mohamed Bazoum. The military did not take the rebels’ side initially, taking a protected place instead at the tactically significant accommodations in Niamey, Niger’s capital town, with careful calls to evade ferocity.

On the night of July 26, Niger’s Air Force Colonel Amadu Abdraman talked on television. In a declaration on behalf of the putschists he declared the statement of Leader Bazoum as well as formation of the National Council for the Safeguard of the Homeland (Conseil National pour la Sauvegarde de la Patrie). He quoted the “deteriorating security situation” also “poor governance” as the foremost motives for the revolution.

On July 27, a declaration was uploaded on Twitter (relabeled as ‘X’) by the illegal profile of the Nigerien equipped militaries (Forces Armées Nigériennes), that generally releases news declarations on armed processes.
