During the“Government Accountability Program for the Nation” event, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MoIC) in Afghanistan announced that Afghan banks are currently on the world's white list, and there are no restrictions on money transfers.

Nooruddin Azizi, the acting minister of industry and commerce, revealed that the ministry has issued work licenses to over 7,000 people this year. Notably, since the Islamic Emirate came to power, approximately 1,000 women have received work permits, indicating efforts to keep the women's sector active.

The ministry is actively working to attract foreign investment to the country, with domestic companies already investing $150 million in various sectors. Sebghatullah Akhundzada, director of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce's Investment and Development Division, highlighted significant progress in investment, particularly in the mining and agriculture sectors, with 80% of the work completed.

In an effort to boost domestic production, the MoIC has established 50 new factories in the past year and reopened 80% of inactive factories in the previous two years. Furthermore, to combat dollar smuggling and capital outflow, the ministry established the ports committee and prioritizes the mechanization of ports.
